Bike-in Movie TONIGHT! Frankenbike Next Saturday.

I was just over at ATXBS and noticed a couple of upcoming Austin cycling related events that could use some promotion.

The first is the return of the Bike-in Movie tonight at Waterloo Cycling (2815 Fruth, behind the Chevron at 29th & Guadalupe) starting at 8 PM. There will be vintage cycling films, assorted cartoons, trailers and oddities in glorious 16mm. BYOB&F. I’ve not been to one of these yet, but I hear they’re great. Check it out.

The other event is our semi-regular bicycle and bike part swap, Frankenbike. This is a great place to pick up that 80s 5 speed Campy Super Record cassette you’ve been looking for. (Actually, if one of those is really there, the next thing you’ll be seeing the bottom of my foot on your face as I charged the stall.)

Frankenbike will be Saturday, August 30, Noon-5 pm at the Austin Bike Zoo, 1706 E. 17th Street (map).

Go get on yer bike and head out to these great events.
