Austin is the next stop on the International Bicycle Film Festival

After having a great time biking with my kids last night to the monthly Bike-in Movie, The Triplets of Belleville, I’m very excited to announce that the 2008 International Bicycle Film Festival will be stopping in Austin on Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20.

There are four different programs which will all be screened at 501 Studio at the corner E. 5th St. and Brushy St. Tickets, which can be purchased online, are $10 for each program or $25 for a festival pass to get you into everything. There will also be after parties on Friday (location announced during Friday’s program) and Saturday at Mellow Johnny’s.

I’m also extremely bummed to announce that I will not be in town that weekend so I can compete in some race in Portland. However, Marcus plans to attend to represent AustinBikeBlog.

In the meantime, you can get warmed up by watching one of the featured films at the fest, Waffle Bike.
