NPR on Worksman Bikes

This morning’s Weekend Edition of NPR had an interesting story about Worksman Cycles, America’s oldest bike maker still in business. Their focus is cargo, utility, and industrial bikes, and Worksman is one of the few non-custom American bike builders to still build their bikes in the U.S. out of their Queens, NY factory.

The thing I’m most impressed from this story is the quality craftsmanship of Worksman’s bikes. They are still servicing bikes they built 50 years ago. Where do you think your carbon Trek is going to be in 50 years, or 5 for that matter?

Take a listen to this review of a great American bike maker.
