1) He won the TDF now WHOOP WHOOP
2) Natural ingredients
3) I am sure he doesn't claim them to be boosters like EPO but more of a energy that you need with prolonged periods on a bike
4) AUSSIES ROCK
5) they are the nicest bars on the market (Clif are nice also as I buy them but have more artificial crap in them)
6) moisty goodness mmmmmmmmm
7) you can make just as good on your own
8) I love these bars
9) If you were in that position you woulda done the same

Hey Pat, how bad did you say Cadel is? you are a true Aussie knocker knocking Australians who make it in their profession. Twice 2nd at the tour and if not for a better team he could of been as good as any champion in cycling. I do believe Cadel also won the Pro Tour not bad for a crap ex MTB Champion. Pat you and your mates think you know something about cycling I wonder!!

I have also heard about Cadels weird cycling style is there some great style because obviously you don't have it Pat. I have looked down the TDF and other great races record books for your name and have been unable to find it!!

The bars are ok I did buy one or 2 but I prefer to make my own

Started cycling again the other day with my brother. Coincidently he gave me one of these bars to try. I liked it. I bought a bunch of them and they taste great.

Really, why do we even care?

(And no, if you insult one Australian we do not all consider that a slight against all of us. We don't give a fuck).

I liked the energy bar in question, which is why I looked it up on the internet and hence found your site. The painting of Cadel was painted for the Archibald prize which is the most famous art competition in Australia. It's considered a great honour to be chosen as a subject for the Archibald, which must be a portrait of a famous or well known person. I'm amazed that people can be so negative about elite athletes. I suppose some people have sad lives.

Dude,
as a fanatical cycling fan , AND Australian, I stand behind everything you say about Cadel Evans. Imagine my delight when I found this product in my local supermarket. I HAD to buy one for my next ride, just to start a virulent sledge-fest at the coffee shop where we can postulate on just how crap he will be at this years TdF.
Are there any ex-MTB guys that don't make weird roadies? It must be something to do with riding in endless circles around trees on your own whilst eating mud....

Do Australians really have such an inferiority complex that when one countryman get criticized, you are suddenly wishing bodily harm to the critic? Evans is a professional athlete, not the whole representation of an entire country!

My criticism of the product was Evans shilling of it, not necessarily the product itself. It may be a perfectly fine energy bar. My satire is of the bogus performance enhancing claims of these products and Evans himself. I stand by my assertion that Evans is a wanker. I think any non-jingoist reader who reviews the sites I linked in the story would agree.

Hi
I just wanted to write back on this report on Cadels Energy Bar , I am an Australian and proud of it and I have tried the all flavours in the Winners Energy range including Cadels Mountain Mix and they are great and if you had to choose from a Nutritional bar why would you not use a bar that has more natural ingredients than any other product on the market ?

Why dont you nock PowerBar ? High fructose core syrup ? or even other brands you are obviously a Coffe shop rider as we call them in Australia , a long ride for you would be to the Milk bar !

Dont knock such a great athlete and great bloke ! and he is a true Ozzie so you knocking him is an insult to the whole nation !

What goes around comes around !! watch out for those cars and pot holes next time your doing your ride to buy a donut !
