Last week, we let you know about some contest submissions that might be of interest to cyclists. We’d like to let you know about one more that involves some pretty cool prizes as well as a chance to make the world a better place.
The Fat Cyclist, a great cycling blog, is having a contest where they are giving away a Gary Fisher Superfly Singlespeed, a bike so limited in production all the bikes are already spoken for. So what do you have to do to have a chance to win this cool bike? Just give at least $5 toward cancer research.
The wife of the author of Fat Cyclist is battling cancer, and in the face of this difficulty, he has taken up the challenge of being the first fundraiser to raise $1 million for the LiveStrong Foundation with this Team Fatty. To that end, every $5 you donate to the LiveStrong Foundation between now and the end of January gets you a raffle ticket for the Gary Fisher and a signed Lance Armstrong poster. If you want to do more, you can join one of the four city Team Fatty teams. Austin is one of the Team Fatty cities and by joining at $50 and pledging to raise $250 you can join in the Austin LiveStrong ride this fall.
So join the cause, get a chance to win cool stuff, and battle cancer. Let’s make Austin look good.

I’m in. It would be fun to get some Austin Team Fatty training rides in.
