Now you can find everything bike related going on in town at Austin Bike Blog
On any given day in Austin, there may can be 10 or more rides, races, or bike culture events. To help discover you new cycling events, plan your racing schedule for the year, or find a last minute ride, we are launching Austin Bike Blog’s comprehensive calendar of all the cycling related events in and around Austin. We are pulling calendars from groups like Austin Cycling Association and Violet Crown, bike shops, and race promotion sites as well as Tom Wald’s advocacy event calendar and Jason’s bike culture calendar at ATXBS.
All of these groups have great calendars to follow their aspect of cycling, but no where are all of these calendars in one place so you can see road rides, mountain bike races, alley cat scavenger hunts, Critical Mass, Frankenbike, and bike-in movies all in one place. Austin Bike Blog’s aims to be your one-stop shop for anything cycling related in Austin.
Not only do we hope to make it easier to find things that interest you, we hope this will help you expand your horizons a little as well. If you are a roadie, try a mountain bike ride. If you are a fixed gear fanatic, try a triathlon.
We will continue to highlight the some of the bicycle related events for the coming week each Thursday with our Austin Bike Culture Events postings. This calendar will add another layer allowing you to see all the events going on that we did not cover including regular weekly events.
We hope you find this resource helpful and a way to further nurture Austin’s growing bike culture.
