Thanks to Ecovelo for alerting me to the latest creative cargo hauling solution developed by an Xtracycle owner. I present the Pizzaloader, probably the best addition to the Xtracycle line up since the Bike Blender.

Xtracycle’s website has detailed instructions on how to build this using an IKEA Gorm Bookshelf, IKEA Lansa Bar w/ Two Screws, and some Xtracycle SnapHooks. Total cost is about $30 which is a steal for the improved cargo hauling options.

I think once my kiddos have outgrown our Xtracycle minivan, I’m going to have to seriously consider doing this upgrade.
