Two intrepid souls slog it up Mt Bonnell on the Thursday Night Road Ride.
10th Thursday Night Road Ride- I made this ride for the first time and did a brief write up on Friday. Description of the ride in three words: Fast, dark, fun. Description of my riding style on this ride in one word: yo-yo.
Friday, February 6
Fabulous Fixed Friday- First Fridays means the return of this alley cat race that starts at 4:20. lafphotography on Flickr has shots of the finish line online. UPDATE: ATXFixed now has pictures up including some wheelies.
Within Reach Sneak Preview- Marcus made it by Mellow Johnny’s for an interesting look at what one couple will do to teach us about sustainability: Ride 1200 miles across the U.S. The event was good, but contrary to previous advertisements, there were no snacks.
Saturday, Februrary 7
Alsatian Country Omnium, Time Trial and Criterium Races- Cody Baron over at Hammerhead Bicycles has put up a gallery of pictures from the Time Trial part of the race. The race organizer also now has race results posted including overall classification. UPDATE: Team Supra now has a recap of the Omnium on their blog.
Sunday, February 8
Underground Underwear Race- Jason at ATXBS has a review of this alley cat race but had a DNF due to poor equipment choice and large amounts of alcohol consumed the previous day. There is also a photo gallery by Doug of the race up now.

I figured if I could do the hangover rover on the tall bike (and hungover), I could do the underwear race as well. Didn’t count on the wind. Oops!
Bummer about the snacks! Their flyer said they were gonna have ‘em, now I’m REALLY glad I missed out on that event… lol
