I was just leaving work when I saw link over at ATXBS to a Craig’s List posting about a non-profit bike sale on this Saturday morning.
Here’s the scoop from Craig’s list:
Bike Sale this Saturday, 9am
The Austin Arts and Music Partnership. 411 West Monroe at South First Street. 9am until we run out of Bikes.
Prices range from $50 to $395. Some need a little work and some are in ride away condition. Buy the others and get a discount on repairs and parts from South Side Bikes on South First Street. The best bike shop in Austin – and not just because they are great supporters of our organization!
Non-profit’s Bike Sale. Great Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes, Men’s and Women’s, Mixtes, 3 Speeds, Vintage, 10 Speeds, 12 Speeds, 18 Speeds, 21 Speeds.
Looks like some vintage road bikes for commuter or single speed conversions are there for you to choose from. And if you don’t find what you need there, head on up to Frankenbike, Austin’s monthly bike swap, which starts at Noon and runs until 4 PM at Capitol Bike & Outdoor Exchange (behind Little Longhorn Saloon), 5434 Burnet Rd.
