Price is $350 for single speed, $450 for 3 speed. It's not as nice as a true Dutch bike, but a pretty good basic transportation bike for 1/3rd the price. Michael,

But it just feels like we should be able to get some kind of bike that lets people commute with fenders and a rack for $350. It's going to be hard for people to find economical commuting choices that still have good features. One bike that I plan to review this week is the Trek Allant, which is supposed to have just about everything on it that you generally need in a commuter (except lights).
