Reader Brooks sent in an announcement of a new social group for planning rides quickly he’s formed on Facebook and Twitter. Here’s the scoop:

“SocialCyclingATX is a grass roots group born into the powers of twitter and facebook getting rides started in a day’s notice. If you’re in Austin and want to ride join the group and follow the twitter handle. Start your own ride or help plan one thats already started. This group is very accommodating for all cyclists. @SocCyclingATX”
