Sitting around people watching a bit on second street Tuesday I saw this cyclist fly by and grabbed a quick photo with my Blackberry. I though it was impressive how his bike and safety vest matched so exactly. This is one commuter who will be SEEN in traffic.

People in some countries in Europe would note that his tires lack reflective stripes. Reflective bands on tires pop out as if bright fluorescent lights, when struck by car lights or in flash photos. Pure black tires are dangerous because invisible at night, unnecessarily dangerous.
