As we reported last week, the Texas Senate hearing on the 2009 Safe Passing Act was postponed due to the big voter ID bill blowup. When it is rescheduled, we’ll let you know.

The Texas Bicycle Coalition wants to encourage you to participate in their ‘Cyclists in Suits‘ event on April 20. This is not a cycling event, but a lobbying day of sorts to contact your own legislators about bike issues. Wearing business attire is a must (see the link for more info).

One more thing: one of the first things I noticed when I got AustinOnTwoWheels on Twitter yesterday was that the TBC is there too! Follow them for updates on the passing bill and other important advocacy items.
