Cycling, especially competitive cycling, can be pretty male dominated and not particularly welcoming to the fairer sex. Maybe its the combination of gear heads and testosterone. I don’t know. Still, we’ve seen an explosion in women specific events lately, some of them uniquely female in their outlook on competition, and Sally Edwards shared with me just how far women athletes have come.
Starting this summer, notch another one for the ladies with the first women specific cycling magazine. Womens Cycling Magazine will be published quarterly for a measley $15/year and will offer the women’s perspective on road, track, cross, mountain, you name it. In the meantime, you can follow the writers of this new publication on their blog.
