Are you beating me in the Austin Commuter Challenge?

Surely you are… aren’t you? Since I enrolled on Thursday, I have recorded 36 miles for 8 trips. Pretty easy to beat, right? The best member of the League of Bicycling Voters team is Tim Diller with 130 miles over 23 trips so far. Impressive.

Let me know how the rest of you are doing. If you’re not in there yet, join already!

Truth in advertising here: While I am an avid bike commuter and seek out opportunities to up my mileage, please note that I back-dated one week’s worth of commutes, so that my 130 miles is over a week and a half.
That said, come on folks, pass me up if you can! Let’s roll!

Well you still have a pretty nice round-trip commute you’re doing regularly Tim. Mine is 10 miles round-trip but often I’m either really tired after evening meetings and take the bus or my wife is downtown doing something so I throw my bike in the back of the car on the way home.

38 miles over 13 trips… started last weds. If the competition hasn’t started, then I’m not sure why I’m loggin’. I guess I’m a free agent! I’m good for 40miles a week, methinks.

Also, I pull a kid on a trailer for at least 20 of those miles; since it doesnt’ look like you get extra credit for cargo, I’m just going to say it here. That kid is heavy!
