Local cool race and event organizer Brian Davies has put out a volunteer call for some upcoming events. Brian does a great job and could definitely use your help.

Event #1

Double Down All-Ladies Alleycat
Saturday, July 11
Registration begins at 4:30pm at the capitol, and the race begins at 6pm
State Capitol Grounds
Cost: $5, afterparty is $5 for non-racers
Why: because racing with dudes is lame.  hehe Alright – doing anything with dudes is lame.

Event#2

Help out with the Bicycle Film Festival in Austin August 5-9.  Brian is helping Jeanette organize this event this year and we need people.  Jillian is the volunteer co-ordinator and will know in the very near future what we’ll need in terms of warm bodies for the event. Contact her here: bffvolunteer@gmail.com.  You will earn perks based on your level of commitment.  It’s going to be a really fun time and MUCH bigger than last year.  Come out and help out!

Here’s some of the events we will need help with:
- Alleycats (mostly we’ll just need checkpoint people – I think we have narrowed down who will be organizing them)
- Dayfest crew
- Theater staff (think ticket-takers and such)
- Ride leaders to/from events
- Lots of others I can’t think of right now.
