The Black Angels Tia Cerrera working their mojo.
Last night kicked off the Austin stop of the Bicycle Film Festival with the Bikes Rock concert at La Zona Rosa. The show was headlined by The Black Angels and Tia Cerrera.
About 200 people were in attendance at the beginning of the show. Many came by bike, however there was very little in the way of bike parking. Most people locked up on the fence line or next door at Mellow Johnny’s. What was more frustrating, was the fact that there was an unused bike rack sitting in the patio of La Zona Rosa. It really sucks to bike to events and have trouble finding a place to park your bike, but would you expect this at the Bicycle Film Festival??? Hopefully, this will get worked out for the rest of the events.

BikeTexas in attendance with the Safe Passing Petition
BikeTexas Exectutive Director Robin Stallings and Bicycle Sport Shop Community Outreach staffer Leslie Luciano were there circulating the petition on Governor Perry’s veto of the Safe Passing Bill. Robin indicated nearly 100% signing rate from the crowd.
I stayed for the first half of The Black Angel’s first set but missed Tia Cerrera. It was getting late for this foggie. I really am a foggie because it was the Black Angels that I missed. Tia Cerrera was the group I hear with a great instrumental rock sound reminiscent of Led Zeppin.
