Once a year, the University of Texas Police Department holds an auction of unclaimed or seized bicycles from the UT campus. It has been scheduled this year for Thursday, September 3.
You can view the bikes to be auctioned at the UTPD site. Bikes are in varying degrees of entropy, but if you are looking for a low cost way to pick up some wheels, this (plus Frankenbike) may be your place.

Viewing will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the silent/quiet auction to start at 5:30 p.m. with staggered finish times.
Bicycles will be sold as-is and there will be no refunds. PTS will not be able to store purchased bicycles. Forms of payment accepted for the auction include: cash, check, and credit card (Visa, Discover, and Mastercard).
