Since Frankenbike this weekend is at Austin art bike central, the Austin Bike Zoo, it’s only fitting that Street Films recently did this recent piece on scaper bikes, an art bike movement out of Oakland’s African American community.

If you want to put your own scraper bike together, Frankenbike might be the place to start. The monthly bike parts swap gives you plenty of chances to pick up everything you need to build your own Frankenbike, scaper or not, or to clean out your bike closet for some extra cash.
