(I imagine a few came to the States, but I associate it with 60s Europop.) While it's possible Mr. Marco performed with a group called Scopitone, I think the label on that video indicates the film format, rather than a band. Still, it's fun to see "dead media" like Scopitone find a new life online. Scopitone was a film format for jukeboxes that was used in Europe in the 1960s.
