If you’ve taken a look at our comprehensive calendar of Austin cycling events lately, you’ll notice there are a ton of weekly group rides of all ilks to get your heart rate pumping or just enjoy some company on your weekend rides. There are usually at least 15 rides rolling out on Saturday or Sunday mornings all over town so there’s no excuse not to get out on your bike!
We’ve recently added two new weekly rides giving you even more options. The first is a 35-45 mile shop road ride from the new shop VO2 Triathlon and Cycle and the second is the Mellow Mountain Bike Ride from Mellow Johnny’s.

This is a ~3 hour ride from the shop to the Hill of Life on the Barton Creek Greenbelt and back. This ride is for beginner/intermediate riders but all are welcome. The Barton Creek Greenbelt is made up of creek crossings, hardpack trails, babyheads, and a challenging climb to the top of the Hill of Life (optional.) Bring your mountain bike, helmet, nutritional needs to fuel up, supplies to fix a flat, and plenty of water. The last watering hole is at Barton Springs pool before entering the Greenbelt. 9:00am rollout.
