This missed the weekly events roundup. I got a message from ATX Babes on Bikes that the semi-regular Ladies Ride has been resurrected this Friday for a social ride to the Women’s Cycling Magazine kickoff at Mellow Johnny’s.

Here are the details:

Annie G suggested that we try to revive the Friday evening ladies cruize and you know what? I think she is totally right, especially since it’s getting cooler (finally!!!!!!!)

Through my little roadie ladies club, I found out that Mellow Johnny’s is having an all-ladies’ cycling magazine launch party THIS FRIDAY, Sept 11th! It kicks off and goes from 7-10pm, with free Sophia (champagne in a can, very classy stuff!), snacks, live music, and more. I figure—whythehellnot–that we all show up and represent the everyday, ride our non-carbon bikes everywhere, lady cyclists here in Austin!

I propose we meet at Lamar Ped bridge at 6:30pm and ride out around 7pm to the shop. Then, let’s check out the party for a little while and depart to parts unknown! Maybe a house party, coffee house, art show, Barton Springs? Bring your swimsuit, lock, lights, water and helmet. AND Invite your lady bike friends!
