Sign from the old Peddler shop
One of our favorite shops, The Peddler, has moved to a new location down the road at 5015 Duval, at the corner of 51st and Duval. They’ll be having a causal stop in party this Sunday afternoon with some beer tastings whilst you check out the new digs. More on the Peddler in our shop review.
I’d also mention the Peddler has been doing weekly shop rides with clever names on Sunday mornings in the 30-50 mile range. Last month was plays on Doobie Brother song lyrics. This month appears to be inspired by Hemingway book titles.
Here are the September rides via the ACA Hosted Ride page:

| A brutal 30 miler in-town. There have to be 30 stop signs on this ride, which makes it very difficult to keep up a C pace. It is all about hard braking and fast accelerations. Quads will be shredded. You just have to ask yourself: “What would Hemingway do?” I say we ride! | |||

| Completing our Hemingway theme for the month, we will head out from the Peddler Bike Shop and enjoy an out and back that would make Abe Froman’s mouth water. Feel the brisk pace, see pretty country and the smell the scent of pork fat and asphalt as thay co-mingle in this magic sausage mecca. Bring sunscreen as this is a long ride and temps will not likely have cooled. | |||
