The League of Bicycling Voters will have their first meeting is some time tomorrow night and now have the location, the Rio Grande Restaurant. Coming off their very well attended round table discussion with David Byrne and the hiring of a new Executive Director, Tom Wald, the LOBV is ready to get even more active in advocating for Austin cyclists.
League of Bicycling Voters Meeting
Tuesday, September 29
6 PM
Rio Grande Restaurant, 301 San Jacinto Blvd
From Tom Wald:
Some of you have RSVPed for tomorrow (and some have specified that you are unable to attend). I would like to get a number for tomorrow as soon as possible, so please let me know if you plan to attend.< >We have a unique plan in mind for LOBV. We want to ensure representation of the bicycling community by _directly_ involving the broader community at our next step. This process will open up advocacy to many new people, so we need your support, as existing leaders, to make this transition smooth. Your attendance tomorrow will be instrumental to help us provide good opportunities to all of those eager people exiting the David Byrne event last night. (For those who cannot attend tomorrow, let’s be in touch over the next few weeks.)
Three-digit member numbers are in limited supply. Join now:

With the Dirt Derby cancelled, it looks like my Tuesday night is open. I’ll be there.
