On Friday, we posted about the theft of Keith Byrd’s Hansome Devil bike from the Jackalope during the Thursday Night Social Ride. Well, good news! I got an e-mail today from Keith letting me know his bike was recovered.
i want to thank you personally for posting about the theft.the thief lost their balance on my bike right in front of cops who arrested him for public intox. he couldn’t tell them where he got the bike, so they (the UTPD) kept it. now he is facing felony theft charges.
thanks to some sharp eyes by some social cyclists who happened to be there on another matter, i was notified and claimed it with my receipt.

It is great to hear that you got your Devil back! Also, super awesome that Austin has a bicycle community that looks out for other cyclists backs. Good job all.
