The gorgeous fall weather has proved favorable to racing conditions, and the weekly cyclocross and short course mountain bike series, the Dirt Derby returns tonight.

I will be racing (or my imitation of racing) my new cyclocross frame, the Sam Houston, as well. As part of the Violet Crown Cycles sponsorship of the cyclocross series, I’ll be giving away a custom cyclocross frameset at the end of the Dirt Derby season. Each time you race you are entered in the drawing, so the more you race the more chances to win.

Registration opens at 6:00, and the B race is at 6:30, the beginners/womens/kids race at 7:00, and the A race/Open is at 7:30.
