LOBV launches petition in support of Nueces St Bike Boulevard proposal

lobvIn early January, the League of Bicycling Voters put out a bike boulevard plan for Nueces Street as the cycling community’s best effort to create a true bike boulevard within some constrictions. The LOBV now has an online petition up where you can voice your support for this plan. It is important that the bike boulevard on Nueces be done right as it can be a model for other such facilities throughout the city. This petition will show the broad citywide support for creating great bike facilities.

Austin on Two Wheels encourages you to sign the petition today!

Nueces Blvd. is a topic on the City-Data forums:

“The sad thing is that property owners have been ignored in the proposal process until now even though the League of Bicycling Voters have been working closely with city officials.”

Oh those sneaky LOBV people trying to work with the city…for shame!
