Austin Bike Poster Show winning entry announced, show runs through June 5

Last night, the Austin Bike Poster Show kicked off with a party and the announcement of the winning entry in the show created by Austinite Kevin Nadeau. This winning poster will be used by the City of Austin’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Program to promote cycling in Austin.

I was one of the judges, and I have to say I really like how this poster used some great messaging about the benefits of cycling combined with a person riding in regular clothes. It makes cycling seem more accessible to me.

You can see this and all the other 25 finalists during the Austin Bike Poster Show which runs at The Frame Corner Gallery, 5601 Adams Ave until June 5. The store is open 10-5 PM, Tuesdays- Saturdays. A limited number of prints from the show will be available for $25 each. Ten percent of the proceeds will go to the Lamar Middle School Safe Routes to School project.
