Social Cycling Austin first yo!ga ride tonight

Social Cycling Austin is further expanding their ride offering with a new yoga this week:

This class is geared towards BEGINNERS, so if you’re hesitant to come because you’ve never taken a yoga class, please get over it and come ride with us! The idea is to stretch out the muscles we use for riding bikes and strengthen those non-peddling muscles too. Think relaxation and restoration. This is not a kick your ass, twist you into a pretzel type of class. It is understood that you have to get back on your bikes after this and we’re not looking to hurt anyone!

What to bring: strap your mat to your back or bike, bring some water, make sure your bike has lights… If you don’t have a mat, bring a towel or small blanket. If you have extra mats, help a yogi out and bring them with you.

When and where: we’ll meet about 7ish @ Fiesta Gardens, right next to/under the Interstate bridge (if you were at the Thursday Night Social Ride this week, it’s the same spot). We’re gonna roll out about 7:30ish, do a nice little ride to a spot and stretch it out. We’re still working out finding a good home, but for the time being, we’re going to head to Givens Park @ the pavilion. If for some reason, it’s closed or occupied, we’ll wing it and just find a place nearby.
