Today’s film is a music video of “Something Golden”, a new ditty from the Helsinki band Le Corps Mince de Françoise, or LCMDF for those in the know. In addition to being a catchy little tune, the girl band spends most of the video riding the streets of their city until dawn. Bikes are involved but so naturally integrated to a night out on the town, you barely notice them. LCMDF didn’t suit up or put on special shoes. They just got on bikes and rode to the club. This could have just as well been a Midnight Ridazz or Thursday Night Social Ride.

I found this video on a post on Rick Vosper’s Bike 2.0 blog, and he mentioned they are all riding Jopos, the once ubiquitous Finish city bike that is now making a comeback. From the looks of the video, they’re not even riding this bike to be ironic. Either Helsinki’s hipsters have evolved, or the bike is so much a part of their culture they don’t even think about it being a counter-culture prop.
