It may not feel like fall is near with back to back triple digit days, but the signs that cooler weather is at least on the horizon are here. Students are back to school, the football season is getting ready to rev up, and the Dirt Derby returns. The Dirt Derby is Austin’s unique weekly Tuesday night cyclocross and short track mountain bike series at the Austin/Del Valle Motorcross Park. It will start on September 7 and wrap up on December 14 with two seven week series’ splitting up the season.
Here are the details on this year’s series:
An important change this year is that we’re changing the starting orders and times of our categories. We will now run the Beginner, Women Only and Kids Races starting at 6.30, with the Intermediate and Open races following that.

7:20 PM B Intermediate Race (25 min)
