UPDATE: Just heard from a reliable source that there will be alleycross tonight in lue of the Dirt Derby. What’s alleycross? Basically, underground cyclocross races where you race for the ultimate prize, or at least a six pack of Lone Star. Meet up at the Lamar Blvd Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge at 6:30 to ride to the race. With the all day rain, it should be epic.

Hopefully, this will not be a sign of the season but rather the one time effects of a tropical storm. The season opener for the Dirt Derby is canceled for tonight.

Well, it’s been raining all morning and it’s likely to rain throughout the days, so today’s Bicycle Sport Shop Dirt Derby has been canceled.

It’s unfortunate that we can’t race today, but we plan on kicking off the season right next week, so we hope to see everyone then.

Stay dry and keep pedaling.

Since the entire track is of a clay soil, it becomes unridable when we get a good rain. Let’s hope next week is dry.
