The arctic front that hit yesterday seems to have taken its toll on a couple weekly social rides/events.

The Leander / Cedar Park Social Cycling group just sent out a message that tonight’s regular social ride is canceled:

Were gonna go ahead and cancel the ride for tonight. Pretty damn cold and I know a lot of our core members have been very sick or just getting over being very sick. Plus there appears to be the chance for ice out here in the hill country. We will resume NEXT WEEK as long as the weather isnt too damn harsh.

Also canceled is the recent return of a weekly bike-in movie hosted by the Black Label Bike Club. Via ATXBS:

Due to the low temperatures we have decided to put off the movie until the weather gets better. We have retrieved another projector to use until our bulb is fixed. No more green films for a while. Currently we are hoping to show A Serbian Film, the most f@#ked up thing to hit screens in a long time.
