First Cyclists in Suits Day tomorrow

If you aren’t knee deep in SXSW or spring break this week, BikeTexas could use your help in getting a Complete Streets legislation (HB 1105) passed this session by participating in the Cyclists in Suits Day tomorrow and next week. This legislation is designed to ensure Texas streets are are designed and operated to enable safe access for all users, regardless of age, ability, or mode of transportation. It is a critical part in making sure future state funded projects include infrastructure for cyclists and pedestrian in every project.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Priority #1 – Show up in person, in a suit, Wednesday March 16, 8am at the Capitol.
  • Priority #2 – If you are a constituent of any of the Representatives of the Transportation Committee (see list at BikeTexas), please call or write to urge them to vote YES on HB 1105
  • Priority #3 – Come to Cyclists in Suits Lobby Day, Monday March 21, 8am – 4pm at the Capitol.
