TxDOT open house on bicycle facilities this Tuesday

In the past, the Texas Department of Transportation has had a tin ear when it comes to accommodating cyclists, but changes at the federal level and possible passage of the Complete Streets legislation here in Texas mean things could be changing. As part of their public feedback process, TxDOT is holding an annual open house tomorrow, Tuesday, April 26 to provide information regarding transportation projects and programs that might affect bicycle use of the state system within the Austin District. The Austin District is made up of Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Gillespie, Hays, Mason, Lee, Llano, Travis, and Williamson Counties.
