May is Bike Month, and I think this film from Streetfilms gives us both hope for the future and the limitations for change in the mainstream community if we are not changing the way streets are built. The family in this film wants to bike and walk most places and reduce their car use but have concerns about the safety of their children. Like most of us, they are ready for change but need our government leaders to step up and reclaim our streets for people, not just cars.
