Just in from Rob D’Amico, some final(?) news on the James Clayton saga:
Clayton appeared in court today, here’s the deal they struck:
Two state felony theft charges: 180 days
Two burglarly second degree felonies: 4 years
Two other charges not considered and packaged with the deal
So total sentence, 4 years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice jail

Another high profile bike theft: Dave Zabriskie’s Giro D’Italia medal & 12 bikes stolen

The Austin American Statesman is reporting that there has been second arrest in the James Clatyon bike theft ring (hey, there are two people now so its a ring!) Austinite Layne Severson was arrested yesterday on felony money laundering charges by passing $8,500 through her accounts for Clayton.
