The blog Gawker is reporting that a Fox News writer, Don Broderick, could face a year in jail for recently striking and dragging a cycling four blocks in NYC’s Central Park with his car then fleeing the scene.

KVUE is reported last night on an Austin cyclist, Brad Urry, who was shot in the back with a BB gun while riding on Southwest Parkway in May.
Urry said, two people in a light-blue Prius shot him in the back with a pellet gun and kept going.
The half inch deep wound barely missed his spine.

In interesting e-mail from Austin cyclist Tom Wald is circulating about the Austin Police Department and their much reported crackdown on cyclists who break traffic laws. Tom wrote the police department a letter criticizing the program for singling out cyclists when motorists cause the vast majority of accidents that involve injury and deaths.
